Under the proposed legislation, any town residents would be able to register for a “drone hunting permit” for just $25, and would easily make that back by turning in the destroyed wings or fuselage of a drone aircraft ($25) or a “mostly” intact drone for $100. In order to qualify for the bounty, the wreckage must bear “markings, and configuration … consistent with those used by the United States federal government.”
