Under this current administration, the care, welfare, and safety of our nations service members, veterans, and families has been undeniably questionable at best. One area that has been a sticking point for Red Dirt Country artist Gary Kyle and myself has been our governments lack of motivation to allow soldiers separated from their families, to return home briefly when the tactical situation permits, in regards to the birth of a child. Last year, with the help of our friends, 4 soldiers received paid for round trip plane tickets so they could be present for the birth of their child when the tactical situation allowed. This Christmas season and rolling into next year, we plan to expand the number of soldiers we are bringing home at no expense to their family, as a token of our gratitude for their sacrifice, knowing that there will be future missed Christmass and lifes milestones while serving our country.. So let the bidding begin. I have on the auction block, a private acoustic concert, preferably within the DFW/Houston radius, with red dirt country artist Gary Kyle. Whether a living room concert for just your family, or a backyard BBQ for you and a few hundred of your closest friends, or something larger. If you cant find a venue for your concert, Im sure Jennifer Allen Chavez, Robert Gallagher, or Robert La Penna can think of a few good local venues to host a concert ;) Certain terms and restrictions may apply. I will say this, depending on the the date of your concert, do not be surprised if we have some unannounced guests taking the stage as well. We are not only looking for financial donations, but a heavy emphasis on transferable miles and points to cover international/domestic round trip airfare. If you know someone who works for an airlines, you know me, Ill negotiate some great win/win opportunities for everyone.
