Underrated Actor of the week: Margo Martindale. If they ever make a movie about my life, she is who I would cast to play my mother, because she would rock in that role. Sadly, not many people know her name. But she is all over the place and always giving her all. Ms. Martindale started her acting career a little later in life than most in the biz, pushing 40 in her first film, Days of Thunder in 1990. Making a niche for herself playing the wife, mom, receptionist, clerk, nurse, nanny, etc, in a variety of films and TV shows ever since. Memorable film roles include The Firm, Dead Man Walking, Marvin’s Room, Ghosts of Mississippi, In Dreams, Ride With the Devil, Proof of Life, Million Dollar Baby, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and Beautiful Creatures, to name a few. She is also a force to be reckoned with on many hit television shows. You may remember her in several episodes of 100 Centre Street, Medium, The Riches, Dexter (made me cry, she’s so good), Mercy, and Justified. These are just a few shows you may know her from, but like I said before, she’s everywhere, and she is packing Emmy’s. Nothing in production for next year, yet, but this year has been quite busy having completed eight projects in 2013. She deserves a vacation. So go check out her works and let me know what you think in the comments. Please like and share if it’s not too much trouble, and as always… Keep Watching. ~Deacon Gaither. youtu.be/Rg24frs_3oQ
