Understanding the Christian Have you ever heard the Gospel....has anyone ever presented you/ given you a chance to make a decision to the LORD.....here is your chance..... Jeremiah 9:23-24 23 Thus says the LORD: “ Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; 24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD. GOD wants you to... know him. A lot of people think they know GOD. What happens is they start to makeup a GOD that fits their way…not GOD’S way? That can be dangerous because you will not only be misleading yourself but you will also mislead others and that is disastrous for you and them…both of you could end up missing the mark and ending up in hell… Mark 1:14-15 “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Many understand the term repentance to mean “turning from sin.” This is not the biblical definition of repentance. In the Bible, the word repents means “to change one’s mind.” The Bible also tells us that true repentance will result in a change of actions. Luke 3:8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance Believe the Gospel; do you know what the Gospel Is? 1 Corinthians 15 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believ...ed in vain.3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (We have all fallen short of GODS standard…everyone on earth has. Just search your heart and ask yourself have you been truthful and faithful in all things) Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (If we fail to repent, fail to recognize we are sinners, think we are good enough for GOD in our sinful state then we deserve death. GOD has given us a way out of death and that is through JESUS. JESUS was the last sacrifice once and for all. Believe in HIM and we will have eternal life.) Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (GOD dose not tell us…you must be spotless (sinless) before I do this for you…JESUS went on and did GOD’S will for you even though you were still a sinner. He sacrificed his place in Heaven, his comfortable position in Heaven to come down here and give himself over as a sacrifice for you so that you would have a way out of sin. This is demonstrating true love. GOD gave you free will either to accept or deny. Romans 10:9 9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Now you can have eternal security and a reserved place in Heaven. you must repent…confess to GOD all your sins ask him to forgive you, ask him to come into your heart and make you a member of the Kingdom of GOD, tell him you believe Christ died for you and that GOD raised him from the dead. Ask GOD to wipe the slate clean and that you are sorry for your disobedience and you are committing yourself to his service now… Romans 10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Matthew 11:28-30 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Time to get you a Bible, JESUS said learn of me, learn what you are getting into so that you can become productive and can accurately tell others about CHRIST.) 1 John 1 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
