Underwear is a general term used on all pieces of clothing innermost to the body as opposed to outer garments . It covers articles like briefs . brassieres,thongs, vests , panties and all manner me lingerie . They are often embellished with lace ,netting , embroidered patterns ,buttons ,hoops and picots which defects my understanding . Whats the use of decorating such articles when they are hidden most of the time . I once knew a head mistress of a local girls school who was an extreme prude and severe disciplinarian . Naturally we kids resented her but never seemed to get a chance to score off her . Our folk especially my uncle rather liked her. In his eyes she could do no wrong . One day as she sat with my uncle sipping endless cups of dry tea ,chatting away and laughing ;she threw her legs wider than usual and exposed her mothers union underwear of cheap calico . It was green nytil jinja if i remember correctly with a big tear in the middle . We immediately burst into un controllable laughter which alerted her to her indecent exposure . We got a thorough beating and reprimand which we took calmly but we whispered about it till the small hours of the night . As we were begining to dose off i aired an observation id made which puzzled me . Of course i knew auntie was a gal ,a big one at that but she was peculiarly different . I mentioned a black thicket i had seen but nobody seemed to know what it was . They insisted i had imagined the whole thing but i was adamant . I knew what i had seen was real . In an unfortunate show of quixotic confidence i asked my uncle about it . I got a stinging slap which left my ears ringing !
