Unfortunately, majority of the people in our country has adopted the idea that a leader is someone who gives money freely to people. Because of that philosophy, most people who have formal jobs are doing all they can to satisfy the never ending expectations of their people. We must break this vicious cycle by teaching the people about the characteristics of a true leader. Right now, a true leader ,is defined in PNG, as a person who have money and wealth to give the people free handouts in terms of bride price (dowry), school fees, compensation, and etc. I believe each one of us has a duty to change our mindset first then change the mindset of others around you.
