Unfortunately many issues are dominated by extreme voices. When the accusations against Cosby blew up in the media many rushed to jump on one side or the other. Either he was guilty, or the accusers were liars with some ulterior motive. In the court of public opinion no investigation is required. Some will say well there are 15 accusations!!! Isnt that enough? Some will say even one accusation is more than enough. Nobody would lie about something like this. On the other extreme are the claims that the women are all lying. Im not comfortable with any of these arguments and find them both to be quite extreme and unjust. Frankly speaking theyre 2 sides of the same coin because they both believe that when an accusation is made, no criminal investigation is necessary.
