Unfortunately my performance yesterday at the Pan Ams was quite disappointing. I was in the best shape of my career and was ready to hit new personal records and bring home medals for Team USA. On my last snatch warm up at 150kg I deeply tore a callus in my hand which threw me off mentally for my following snatch attempts on the platform. I failed mentally to rise up and overcome this serious distraction and bombed out with my opening snatch of 154kg. I managed to come back and CJ 189kg but I had already missed my opportunity to medal in the total. I let myself down and more importantly let Team USA down because I was not strong enough mentally to rise above my situation. This being said I will grow from this experience and will be back to represent Team USA in Poland this Fall.
