Unfortunately, the headline about this new GALLUP poll does not - TopicsExpress

Unfortunately, the headline about this new GALLUP poll does not tell the whole story. You must read the article and then go to the GALLUP website [gallup/poll/174809/government-economy-immigration-top-problems.aspx] to find a full picture. Only 18%, of those polled, reported government is the most important problem facing this country today. Another 15% answered immigration or illegal aliens. To me, that is another problem with government. But, not to everyone. Another 14% answered the economy. To me, that also is a problem caused by government. Certainly, many do not agree and even believe government is doing all it can to improve the economy. 12% answered unemployment or jobs. Once more, I see all of this as caused by government. Many do not. 9% answered poor healthcare or hospitals or high cost of healthcare. Mostly caused by government regulation and interference in the private sector; in my humble view. Many believe more government will cure all problems. An added 11% see either foreign policy or poor education as our largest problem. I see both as government caused problems. Many see government as the fixative. If my math is correct close to 8 out of 10 Americans, if they agreed with me, would understand government is the most important problem facing this country today. This highlights the specific challenges facing politically conservative Americans. 1) Convince folks that immigration or illegal aliens is a problem caused by our government. 2) Teach people the economy and unemployment or jobs are government problems. 3) Insure that voters are properly informed about government regulation and interference being instrumental in poor healthcare and the high cost of healthcare. 4) Educate your fellow citizens about foreign policy. 5) Tell them how much better, and less expensive, American education was when parents and local communities had full control. Thats all we need to get 80% of the vote and turn America around. Please, start to work on the list.
