Unfortunately, today the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that it will not extend Endangered Species Act protections to the wolverine, despite the fact that there are only 250-300 wolverines left in the contiguous U.S. On behalf of a coalition of conservation groups, we will send the government a formal notice of intent to sue and a public records request on behalf of the coalition. We intend to challenge this politically motivated decision using the full power of the law.
