Unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits lead to rising of kidney - TopicsExpress

Unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits lead to rising of kidney disease in Malaysia at 10-15% annually. National Kidney Foundation (NFK) registered 5000 new patients in 2012 alone. NFK is of opinion that the rise will continue due to Malaysians ignoring healthy eating habits and regular exercise. This attitude can lead to hypertension, as we mentioned in earlier posting, and diabetes !, both conditions could lead to kidney failure. NKF estimates that of total 35K kidney patients in Malaysia 58% are due to diabetes, 8% to high blood pressure. Regular exercise, especially resistance/ cardio training ,has shown to be beneficial in reversing the damage of both these conditions. Embrace exercise as part of your healthier lifestyle! Lets be fit!!
