Unhindered by all the recent awareness of its worldwide surveillance overreach, the NSA is now using sophisticated software to collect millions of facial images from the Internet, according leaked top-secret documents, the New York Times reported last month. The Department of Homeland Security is not far behind, funding pilot projects at local police departments around the country to match suspects against faces in a crowd. And if thats not enough, the FBI is developing what it calls the “next generation identification” project which combines automated fingerprint identification system with facial imagery and other biometric data. The police state is known to us all, and continues unabated. When will America stand up to big brother for once and for all?
