Uni Rag Procession. This is Blackboy Hill. Used to love watching these as a kid They still do them, in February normally (which is why it used to be so bloody cold out on Whitchurch Airport watching the 24 hour pedal car race in the early hours after a few beers no doubt) Raising and Giving (RAG), the fundraising arm of the University of Bristol Students’ Union (UBU), holds a procession every year to mark the official start of RAG Week. Hundreds of students take part in the colourful event, which involves costumed performers, music and a multitude of vehicles – from lorries and army vehicles, to mini coopers, rickshaws and even an ice cream van.
