Uniformed police officers who turn their back on a speaking elected official should be relieved of their duties. Anyone defending this sort of thing as free speech doesnt seem to understand this is a clear sign of insubordination. Officers are entitled to protest as private citizens, but doing so while wearing the uniform is classless. For one, its disrespectful to the fallen officer. Someone provide me with an example of another job in which you can publicly show up your boss and remain employed. New Yorks mayor should follow the example President Reagan set with the air traffic controllers and dismiss anyone continuing to act in this fashion. Issue a blanket warning and then act.
