Union Budget 2014. Just heard the budget speech of FM Arun Jaitley. Also heard the analysis. I an no expert in economics but rationally I can say in 45 days you cannot do better than this. I m happy with tax concessions to middle class like raising the IT limit to 250000 increase in 80 c limit & increasing PPF investment to 1.5. But in the long run I wish that the limit goes to 500,000 for all. The most notable feature according to me are allocation for Kashmiro Pandits & National War Memorial but I wish that the next budget has allocation for the Memorial of Emergency (Museum). Of course allocations for Agriculture is OK. Bit more needs to be done. The objective of skull development is also welcomed. I always say that education in India should have the 3 idiot model. Housing sector getting boost was needed. I would write a note on it once I have gone in details reading Economic Times. To sum it I would state what Deepak Parekh said the best he could do in 45 days. I know the opposition right & left & family samajwadi parties would pounce but that is fine & welcome we need to build a healthy democracy unlike finger raising democracy.
