Union County Dragway.... In the event that we cancel Sundays event due to the extreme cold temperatures, we will still have the gamblers races on Saturday. We will have a dash for a one day car and driver pass that will include a free buyback if needed on the day that it is used in 2014 at any points event. Only one pass will be given and it is open to pro, modified and juniors. Whoever runs closest to their dial will win it. Reaction time will serve as the tie breaker. If the temp forecast for Sunday remains in the 40s with 11 mph winds, their is no way we can get a race done in a five hour window and financially be able to make it work in that weather. The cold conditions will make it very difficult to keep a track in great condition with a less than great car count. We will watch for Saturday and hope the rain is minimal on Friday night/Saturday morning so we can dry the track and get underway. No matter what, the awards ceremony/party is still on for Saturday night, even if we rain out Saturday. I will post the decision by Friday at lunch time.
