Union High School Junior Prize-Giving The Primary Department of Union High School held their annual Prize-Giving on 28 November in the school hall. Mrs Helen Harris, whose fourth daughter leaves the Primary School to enter the High School, presented the prizes to those learners who excelled academically, on the sports field and in cultural activities. Mrs Harris has been involved at Union High for several years, serving on the Governing Body, helping in the Union at festivals and sports events, organising sponsorships, driving buses and supporting her daughters on and off the hockey field and tennis courts. We also extend a huge thank you to her husband, Graham, for his involvement in driving buses and supporting the school over many years. Mr Pringle gave an overview of the activities of the school, followed by Mr Arland Stanley, Chairman of the Governing Body, with his annual report. It was a prestigious occasion, enjoyed by all, and was concluded by Grade 6 learner, Brett Amsterdam, reading his very amusing Afrikaans exam essay.
