Union Street Public House is hosting 50 vets from the Wounded Warriors project on Christmas Day. As crowded as restaurants are that day, it is no small feat to have this many people sitting together but USPH did not hesitate when the representative from Wounded Warriors contacted them and asked if they could PLEASE do it. She was desperate because she couldnt find any other place that could on that day. Not only did they say yes! but their Chief Financial Officer, Michael McCarthy went one step further. The staffers started an effort to raise money to give each of these brave men and women a gift card for Christmas. Of course the amount of the gift card depends on how much money is collected. If you are interested in helping, there are several ways you can do it. If you are dining there, the servers can add the amount you would like to give to your bill. You can send greeting cards and donations directly to them at USPH 121 S. Union Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. If you would like to use your charge card, you can call them at 703-548-1785. You may even want to speak directly to Michael McCarthy, who has a big heart and is a wonderful person to do this! Wouldnt it be great if all of us could help? The deadline for donating is Monday Dec 22nd, 2014.
