Unique Charity in Search for New Trustees Soldier On! (Charity No 1136567) would like to increase our number of Trustees. We are a unique charity that supports armed forces personnel who have been discharged due to wounds, injuries or any other form of ill health. Through the provision of individually focused career management we help medically discharged service personnel to find civilian employment. Finding the ‘right’ job, allows these deserving individuals to live self-sufficient lives with renewed dignity by not falling into a life of continuous welfare support. An injured soldier and Soldier On! Candidate said recently: “If there is one thing ‘the blokes’ categorically need it is not money, back-patting, being called a ‘hero’ or given free stuff – it is a future!” Having assisted a host of people over the last four years we now need to urgently attract corporate sponsors to raise the £300,000 we need to annually and increase our CEO contacts to help with placements into employment. Although we have ambitious plans for the future, we are not looking to become the next mass market armed forces charity. We wish to remain known as a B2B charity providing a professional and bespoke service.
