United States Marine Corps Hymn Happy Birthday Marines! Today I think of one special marine, Bobbys pap, Cpl. Brice Vincent Gross. Pap Vince was unlike anyone Id ever known. Hard headed, stubborn, determined, independent, skilled, hard worker and a true tough as nails marine, never afraid of anything. If you did something he didnt agree with, you best believe he was in your face, and I mean that literately, not that he didnt care for you, or love you or was trying to hurt your feelings. He just felt strongly about his opinions and what was right and he would never stray from that. He had a hard life and he didnt believe in excuses and belly aching. Someone always has it worse than you. Get up and get at it. His famous saying I always hear in my head still is him saying people hear but they dont listen. So very true. So today, I think of him, even though hes not with us anymore, I respect what he taught us... Get ur head up and dust yourself off and move on. No time to dwell and it does no good anyway. Dont make excuses or complain because no one has time to feel sorry for you including yourself! He was a very unique and special breed. Maybe thats why he was apart of the few, the proud, the marines. Semper Fi!
