United States has loaned Sierra Leone 5 ambulances It is ridiculous to hear that the United States has given 5 ambulances to Sierra Leone on loan. Yes on loan! Can you imagine the world super power, defender of the weaklings, loaning Sierra Leone much needed items to fight Ebola? China flew a whole plane load of equipment totally about $ 1.5 million. But when it comes to Middle East, where oil is in abundance, you will see them rushing in to protect humanity. A single Tomahawk missile costs $1.5 million. They are ready to drop several of those on President Assad to protect humanity. How many more people do they expect to die before they could consider the Sierra Leonean and the West African Ebola situation as humanitarian disaster? Even in the wake of the advice of the director of Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as the World Health Organization that a humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in the eyes of the world if urgent attention is paid to the outbreak; the United State could just part away with $250,000 ($50,000/ambulance; my estimate!) to loan poor Sierra Leone. At this point in time we would have expected them to fast track the manufacturing of the Ebola virus and make it available to protect humanity. It is the saddest news I have heard today and its insults the human conscience. Where is the morality? We just have to pray now for Allah to have mercy on us and take away this scourge that is tearing our country apart. May Allah help us!
