UnityMUN (Ü) 2014 Dear all, On the 23rd of August 2014, 30 - TopicsExpress

UnityMUN (Ü) 2014 Dear all, On the 23rd of August 2014, 30 amazingly talented (and not to mention fabulous!) individuals will be coming together to form Malaysias first ever Unity Security Council, a one-day MiniMUN conference aimed at bridging the Unity and Education gaps currently present in the Malaysian MUN circuit. A Unity Council is a conceptual council made up entirely of double delegations (à la UNSC) but with a slight twist - delegates from an institution are ONLY allowed to form a double delegation with a delegate from an institution other than their own. For the first time, well bear witness to Malaysias leading lights in the MUN scene (past and present), put their differences aside and work together as a team, all in the name of unity and good sport. More importantly, the Unity Council will be conducted as a public exhibition debate as we aim to educate and empower the generation of eager young MUNers out there who are have yet to experience a high-octane, no holds barred Security Council session in the flesh. Entrance will be FREE of charge for observes but there will be an audience cap of 100 observers in place (to ensure that the quality of acoustics at the venue isnt compromised in any way that affects the council session in progress). Observer registration will be on a first come, first served basis and registration for this will commence from Monday, 11 August 2014 at 12PM onwards. Please note that an observer cap of 15 per institution will be enforced to ensure fairness and maximise educational outreach for all. Lastly, I would just like to thank these amazing individuals (listed below in no particular order) for having agreed to take time off their busy schedules and come together to make the Unity Security Council a reality.
