University Lecturer in Arabic Literature and Culture, Leiden University Leiden University invites applications for a fulltime University Lectureship in Arabic literature and culture. Research specialization is open. Teaching will include courses on literature and other forms of cultural production (theater, visual arts, music, film, [new] media), across historical periods from the classical to the contemporary, with reference to cultural identities and historical context, and to regional and global configurations and dynamics in literature and culture. Appointment will be fixed-term from January 2014 through December 2016, with the possibility of extensions of up to three years, and of tenure thereafter.
