Unknown gunmen shot dead a youth at Sopore late evening. A police official said the incident took place late evening at around 9:15 PM at Cherihar Kawool village of Sopore, 54 km north of Srinagar city. He said that two gunmen barged into the house of Muhammad Iqbal Khan, 23, son of te Ghulam Mohd Khan and forcibly took him outside. The youth was later shot dead in the premises of his house, the official said. “Though he was moved to hospital immediately but succumbed to bullet wounds,” the official said. Soon after the incident, army and police cordoned off the whole area and launched man hunt to nab the attackers.
