Unless applied across the board and with no exceptions (which makes it everything and nothing, nullifying meaning) there is no deserve in the vocabulary of causality. There is only what action was taken and what reaction is there as a result. Deserve implies the human concept of fairness in karma... Nowhere in nature does this exist outside of human invention (again with that!). Given that; without law, decree, arbitrary consensus or some desire to establish a rigid way of thinking which establishes this fairness, there is no effective measure for deserve. As with the concept of rights, assuming at all that these notions are fixed and knowable is at best a way to delude ourselves into the belief that we can know we deserve certain things... At worst the idea becomes a part of law and dogma which makes it a compulsory form of control, for which we most often self impose.
