Unrealistic Expectations Whether you are male or female, young or old, you made the decision to become an author. Like most, you entered this enterprise, this passion, this ministry, with many expectations. You likely believed or at least hoped that your book would fulfill your reason for writing the book, to get it into the hands of as many as possible, because your message just came pouring out of you. Maybe, it took you several years to get this book from your mind and heart onto paper or in a word document. Maybe some of you have been reading the books of bestselling Christian authors for years, and have watched them as they have started ministries, have given interviews on CNN or Fox News, and have lectured at mega-churches, and traveled the world, making the Word of God known to others. In this, you had hoped and prayed for a similar experience, because God is using you too, right? Of course, if these things did take place, there would be much joy and satisfaction. Those who think that they are going to immediately become the next Philip Yancy, John Piper, Billy Graham, C. S. Lewis, or Sarah Young, you are in for a rude awakening! I recently had a new author ask us to publish his book, and he in asking about royalties said, so, if I sell a few thousand books the first month, how do I receive the royalties? This is completely unrealistic expectations. I am about to give you the complete straightforward truth. TO READ ON CLICK HERE: christianpublishers.org/blog/2013/05/06/Unrealistic-Expectations.aspx
