Unsere geplanten Tauchplätze auf den Galapagos Inseln: Cousins Rock: Just one of the many islets that help form the archipelago, this dive has a great deal to offer the advanced diver. With sloping rock plate formations and a wall that drops farther than the eye can see, divers will come across hidden sea horses and octopi, Galapagos black coral, frogfish, and hammerheads and Galapagos sharks! Highlights: Green sea turtles and sea lions accompany the diver on the lookout for hammerheads and Galapagos sharks. Experience: Minimum advanced open water diver and 30 logged dives. Divers must have good buoyancy control. Depth: 2 m-30 m maximum dive depth (one side has a rock-plate slope) Currents Moderate, with surge in shallower waters Difficulty: Intermediate to advanced Visibility: 10-20 m (33-66 feet) Unique Animals: Juvenile Galapagos black coral Interesting facts: This site offers up a buffet of amazing sights for the diver: giant mantas below, sea turtles above, sea horses in the coral, and sea lions that play with your bubbles. Bartholomew Point: Most famous for its view from land, Bartholomew also has a lot to offer below the sea: fascinating lava and rock formations, white- tip sharks, rays, palegic fish, reef fish, rays and turtles. Famous for its hammerhead sightings, other amazing life is found here, like sting rays, manta rays, turtles and moray eels. Highlights: Schools of hammerhead sharks Activities: Minimum advanced open water and 30 dives recommended. Experience in currents and surges. Depth: 7 m to 40 m (23 ft-131 ft). Oftentimes divers must grab hold of the rocky bottom or slope, and hold on, or crawl “front crawl style” in the direction of the dive plan. Daphne Island: Various topographies make for interesting diving here: slopes, walls, a cave and platforms. Highlights: cleaning stations, hammerheads, manta rays, sea turtles Experience required: Good site for open water students or discover scuba participants Depth: Average dive depth 15 m (49 ft) Currents: Minimal to moderate Difficulty: All levels Visibility: 5-20 m (16-66 ft) Endemic Animals: Galapagos black coral Interesting facts: You can see the underwater remains of lava flows.
