Unskilled Labor As a continent that has a little over a billion people, many of the workforce is unskilled and can only do low or non-skill work. Many of our skilled professionals are in the diaspora and cannot afford to walk away from their currently established lives understandably. We also have to pay attention to our skilled workers and make sure we are providing opportunities for development to keep them globally competitive on the national and international levels. As we take a look at some of these issues we face in our continent Africa, we can clearly see that the problem associated with education is clearly a matter of national security. None of these problems will be solved immediately, but with strategic planning we can find solutions for these issues over time.
