Until a few weeks ago, I admired Ted Cruz. However, it is clear that he is not a lawmaker, but a revolutionary. I dont want a revolution. There isnt a groundswell for a revolution just because of weve had an ultra-liberal president for the first time in US history. Before the shutdown, the Democrats were looking at major losses in the 2014 mid-term elections (historically a near-certainty for a second-term President). Thats not going to happen now. I just hope the wing of the GOP that wants to govern can flex its muscles and assert itself before the 2016 race heats up so we dont have Cruz or Rand Paul as the nominee. Thats the Dems fondest wish, for good reason.
