Until a law is enacted defining the limits of personal privacy - a - TopicsExpress

Until a law is enacted defining the limits of personal privacy - a concept which, while enshrined in the constitution, has yet to be translated into actual legislation - this bill will just be a source of more corruption and suppression of certain freedoms. Certain persons, by the nature of their profession or position in society - public officials, celebrities, etc. - have, in most situations, no expectation of privacy. The same goes for private persons in the performance of public functions such as bus or taxi drivers. The bill is obviously a ploy by legislators (maybe in cahoots with other public officials) to prevent the publication/circulation of their activities which might negatively impact their images. Obviously rushed, the bill contradicts itself in many instances.
