Until we stop regarding people with cognitive disabilities as somehow intrinsically different than normal people, those who have cognitive challemnges will never be safe from this kind of abuse. Until we stop using tard words, until parents make an effort to teach their children otherwise (and lets face it, kids can be pretty cruel to each other anyway), people with cognitive disabilities will never be safe from this kind of abuse. Until people realize that a hurdle in the processes of learning is not the same thing as a limited learning capacity (as if that matters), people with cognitive disabilities will never be safe from this kind of abuse. Until normal people are able to learn this (and by the way, whats taking you so friggin long, to learn this, anyway? This is a very SIMPLE concept to grasp!) ...people with cognitive disabilities will never be safe from this kind of abuse.
