Honourable Abubakar Momoh is currently in the House of Representatives on behalf of Etsako Federal Constituency made up of Etsako Central, East, and West. He can be described as one of the most strongest grass-roots politician in the state base on his indebt consultation and his continuous briefing of the happening in the House. His antecedent is well known to stakeholders in Edo North and they are, therefore, not surprised that he is seeking promotion from the House of Representatives to the Senate after splashing and spreading projects and services all round etsako. The fact that his kinsman, Senator Kassim Oyofo, completed two terms in the Senate only in 2007 has not deterred him from aspiring a seat in the Upper Green Chamber so as to ensure a continuity in bringing to bear his good legislative prowess and experience in law making and over sighting functions. To God be the glory, his eventually becoming the next senator, representing Edo North Senatorial District in Upper House, will create a good record for his political antecedents in Afemai division and Edo state in general, looking back to his achievements over the years. His political profile which has risen steadily over the years from being a Supervisory Councillor to Councillor, and subsequently Chairman of his local government, Etsako East. Thereafter move to served two terms of eight years at the Edo State House of Assembly, before he proceeded to the National Assembly as a member of the House of Representatives in 2003 and graciously returned to the House of Representatives in 2011 for a second term is indeed a political justification for his hallmark of grass root politicking. Earlier, Hon. Momoh has been fingered as the politician behind the “Etsako Agenda,” a political move with the sole mandate of producing an Etsako man as the senator that will represent the Edo North in the next political dispensation. This move which has also over the years championed by Alhaji Usman Shagadi has always remain a rally agenda for actualization. According to some political analysist This move has not gone down well among the Owans and the Akoko-Edos, who have accused the Etsakos of trying to use their numerical advantage against them. While analyzing that, as far as they were concerned, the duo of Momoh and Shagadi were trying to mask their ambitions by making it look like a common Etsako agenda. Keenly political watchers said that with Hon.
