Unveiling the Truth of Islam: A Comparative Study of the Bible & Holy Qurán Introduction In the Name of God The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful God has revealed in the Holy Qur’an: Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error… My journey has been one involving the search for the Truth and the sifting through the human error in regards to religious beliefs, which has resulted in the conclusion that clearly, the Truth does illuminate amongst the darkness of falsehood. My journey into the world of Christianity began in 2008, when a work colleague of mine who was a Christian, asked me to read the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible to find out what Jesus was all about. We had been discussing religion as I was on my own personal journey to rediscover true Islam after a major car accident in which I had been involved in (where I came out without a scratch, thanks to God). So, I told him, I already knew what “Jesus was all about” from the Holy Qur’an. I also told him that the Bible of today has been changed. He said to me: “Zainab, every Muslim tells me that it has been changed BUT it has NOT been changed!” So in the spirit of mutual respect, I went out looking to get my hands on a Bible. Coincidentally, I found a Christian book stall at the Multicultural Eid Fair and Festival (MEFF) in Sydney where a Christian was selling Bibles. I bought my first Bible–The New International Version. I started reading it through the day and night. This passion for reading the Bible came from my curiosity of wanting to know how and why do Christians believe Jesus is God. I went beyond the Gospel of Matthew and read the entire New Testament over a period of time (and then went on to read the Old Testament). I was shocked to say the least! The Jesus I knew from the Holy Qur’an and his message was still present in the Bible of today, but how could this be? I thought to myself. I was expecting, well I didn’t know what to expect because I had never read the Bible in my life. I started typing up what I found, for him and would send him my findings. In the end, I had typed up four different documents about the Bible and the Holy Qur’an. These analyses have been incorporated within this book. Extra research material has also been added. This comparative study will not only be helpful for those searching for the truth, but will also provide a useful tool for those seeking to invite others to Islam and be also beneficial for anyone else who is interested in comparative religion. This book is written with the general reader in mind. Each topic covered is presented in the light of the Holy Qur’an with the corresponding evidence from the Bible and other research sources. Since my first book provides a more comprehensive research effort over 5 years, my intention of writing this book is to provide a more concise (yet, still comprehensive), analysis containing my findings with relevant references to research from my first book and also including any new research conducted since my first book. For the reader’s convenience, I have stated what research material has been shared from my first book in the footnotes and I have provided two separate bibliographies, one for this book and one from You Will Know The Truth & The Truth Will Set You Free. This book provides a platform for interfaith dialogue between Judaism, Christianity and Islam–for the commonalities that are important to all three faiths and the differences which make these religions unique. My intention is to build bridges through the discussion of the Scriptures. As I go about explicitly unveiling the Truth of Islam in this book, I pray you find the information contained within, to be beneficial and enlightening. Zainab Sydney, Australia.
