Unvested Powers of the Constitution The Supreme Court has no authority vested in it by the Constitution or Congress to create law or a precedent that creates law. The Supreme Court cannot make law. To do so is to usurp the authority of Congress. The Court can only give their opinion. Their opinion does not become law. If that ruling creates a law, that ruling is unconstitutional and cannot be regarded as a legal precedent. For only Congress can create laws that comply with the principles of Christianity set forth in the Constitution. Article. I. Section. 1. All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
