Unwanted Message The concluding part ...All those bible passages that keep one to remain heaven conscious are no longer relevant in today’s Christianity. For instance, “If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me.” Psalms 66:18 “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverb 28:13 “…My meat is to do the will of my father that sent me, and to finish his work.” John 4:34 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” Romans8:14 “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” John 17:16 “Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.” I Peter 5:8 “We can not continue in sin that grace may abound.” Romans 6:1 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning; For this purpose the son of God manifested to destroy the works of the devil.” I John 3:8 and many more. If all these passages are no longer in vogue, then, what is Christianity all about? Christians are part of the society, yes I don’t dispute that, but we are called for a purpose and we must fulfill that purpose. We are saved to be part of God’s kingdom. There are many in the church that are yet to give their lives to Jesus, they are either being invited to church by friends or born into the church and that makes them members of the physical church but not members of Christ’s body. The only thing that makes a person to be a candidate of heaven is personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ: that is the purpose of the gospel; so that all men will be saved. The only way the members of the physical church can become members of the spiritual body is to constantly listen to the raw message of the gospel, the message of the cross. Though we need material wealth, spiritual wealth comes first. After these people have come to the full knowledge of redemption, then, we can go further by opening their eyes to the promise of God to Abraham through faith. Abraham obeyed God and walked with God in faith before God blessed him. The bible says a man’s life does not contain in abundance of what he possesses. Redemption of our souls is paramount in God’s mind. The Church comprises both rich and poor people and the only message both of them need is salvation of their souls. Pastors need to change the focus of their message from impressing the members of their churches to salvation of their souls. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and will show you things to come.” John 16:13 The message from the pulpit should convict people of their sins, expose their shady deals, fraudulent acts, immoral acts and all ungodly acts and make them repent and turn away from their evil way to God for mercy. That is the message we all need. U are blessed in Jesus name! Like our page: fb/springofknowledge
