Unwarranted exuberance among the new supporters in AAP In face book or any social media, accolades and eulogies for AAP are pouring in. Interestingly, this is the new trend and the ‘enthusiastics’ are new in expressing their exuberance. There were fewer persons (I was one of them) giving postings for the appreciation of AAP before Delhi election. However, the voices are getting louder as we inch closer to the election. However, it is better to give constructive criticisms or one’s critical appreciation of the activities of AAP. Be it Somnath Bharthi’s controversial night surveillance or his media brief or CM Kejriwal’s agitation in violation of 144. It is almost settled that these issues have not been taken in good taste by the genuine supporters of AAP or ‘aam admi’. AAP central leaders should not get misleading feedbacks for these activities. To ride the sympathy of people, AAP needs to go for self introspection. Otherwise, the diehard supporter of AAP like Chetan Bhagat would doubt the programmes and policies of AAP and would give the analogy of ‘item girl’ in these contexts.
