Up after a tiny bit of a lie-in this morning, to be greeted by clear, if slightly hazy, skies again - thats three mornings on the trot - cant be bad... The sun has just climbed over the horizon, creating a pink gold glowing aura to the south east, which also shows the depth and density of the haze - and its very slight... The rest of the sky is a pale milky morning blue, without a cloud to be seen - and I dont think Im imagining it, but despite the clear skies of the night, its not quite as cold as it has been - theres certainly no frost to be seen anywhere, although its still cold enough to warrant turning the heating on - it is still January, after all... In keeping with the calm sky above, only the faintest of breaths of a breeze sighs through the greenery, setting a few leaves trembling, but leaving the treeline untroubled - all is tranquil, then, on this saturday morning - the only sound I hear is the occasional jet flying high overhead towards Heathrow, and the morning domestic sounds indoors... Ive made the tea, and Im sipping my way through the customary morning bucket - the cats have been fed, so are no longer ripping the carpets to shreds, so all I have to do is contemplate the day ahead... not too much to trouble this poor blank little brain!
