Up-date fromCHOA Emergency Center fromPaPa: Arrived here at the EC about 8:30 pm and were taken right to the treatment area although the waiting room was full to the max.They put Austin in a Trauma room that was vacant and went to work getting fluids started and antibiotics on board. His fever had almost gone down to normal 99.4 when we arrived but his white count is way down and so are his platelets. he will be admitted to the floor so we are waiting on a room assignment. He is doing better at this time since he got some meds to help his vomiting etc. This Hospital staff is so Great and they really take care of these Cancer patients with speed and professionalism.Everyone is just so nice and willing to go the extra mile for these children....CHOA Egleston "ROCKS !!!!"
