Up for Sale is my much loved and cherished canon 500mm f 4.5 L lens. This lens has served me well over the past two years I’ve enjoyed owning it however I’m moving away from sporting photography and into landscape and I no longer require something with this much reach. It is a sharp and very fast lens. The benefits of this over something like a 400mm 2.8 USM is obviously the extra reach and also the weight. Ive been lucky enough to use both lenses and the 400 is far heavier. Will also throw in the supportive gimble head and monopod and I no longer have a use for them without this lens. Lens has a rear cap, Drop-in filter and lens hood. It comes in the pelican case it is resting on. There is no dust or fungus inside the lens and functions and operates normally. Both the manual and auto focus works well however the manual focus speed setting is stuck on the fastest setting (which really isn’t a problem as far as I’m concerned). Only other thing to mention is the supportive scrw to attach the lens hood to the lens is no longer there, as an alternative there are grub nuts installed on the lens hood that are tightened via an allen Key. Lens has a few battle scars however nothing that effects the integrity of how it functions- Photos also form part of the description, any queries or concerns call me or come and inspect it yourself! :) Its USED and located in Melbourne. Would rather local pickup but willing to work something out otherwise
