As I understand it, the Micro-Tech 1200LX was the beginning of the Macro-tech line. All impressive specs and general info are listed below. The Micro-Tech 1200LX features an extra rugged, aluminum-extruded front panel with rack handles for ease of installation or removal. A major feature of the Micro-Tech 1200LX is the PIP panel for plug in accessories. The rear panel includes an opening that accepts a variety of plug-in circuit cards that tailor the amplifier to the users needs. The older Microtechs dont have this feature or some of the design changes that further enhance this amp. It sounds just like a 2400 except not as much power.
