Up for sale is my MM3 Stingray 5 String for £150 ono. Looks and sounds just like a MusicMan 5 String for much less money! It was made by OLP under license from MusicMan. It is a lovely bass and I will be sorry to see her go. I am selling because I need to fund Christmas and I am more emotionally attached to my other basses (one of which I put together myself and the other was my first bass bought for me from my wife). The OLP has a a maple fretboard and redish tort scratchplate. The body finish is natural so you can see the lovely Elm wood grain. It has passive electronics in it. The neck is straight and true and the fretwork is very tidy. In fact the whole bass feels very solid and well put together. It is in very good condition with no obvious damage or marks and all the pots work fine. I will double check when I get home today to make sure as I havent been over it with a fine tooth comb and let you know if there is any damage or marks. I love the sound this bass makes as it is totally different to my other two basses which you can see in the second photo. You are welcome to come and play before you buy. I am based in Chesham, Bucks. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance in order to meet if it makes life easier for you. This bass is ideal for anyone who wants to try a decent 5 string without breaking the bank or wants a reliable second bass for back up or to keep at the office etc! In my opinion this (along with the actual MusicMan Stingray 5) is one of the best looking 5 string basses there is. I will include a padded gig bag (in very good condition) in the sale if it goes for enough money. This bass gets lots of great reviews with people surprised at how good it sounds and how similar to the real MusicMan Stingray 5 it is.
