Up the last two mornings at 4a.m. burdened about our next generation. Kids are so alert and perceptive to your actions! The signals you send to their little brains make lasting impressions! And become the framework for their future! They set their value system by your value system! If you want them to be strong in the Lord and live faithful lives you will have to be strong enough to put God first in your life! And that sometimes means you don t make it to events that are scheduled at the same time as God events! The devil has got our nation off the pews and into the ball parks and the hunting and fishing tournaments and any other kind of event just as long as it doesnt involve God or His Word! And of course, the old saying is when in Rome you do as the Romans do!. So whats the answer? You dont go to Rome! You choose instead some other activity! You show your children that your relationship with God is more valuable than fitting in with Rome! And you can drink the kool-aid about being more like Rome in order to win Rome to God! No! Ten thousand times no! You got outsmarted! You got converted rather than staying strong! And the children and grand children are the losers! Oh well! Just an old man writing out a burden that has knocked on my door a lot lately! I will try to post something uplifting next time!
