Up until now I have not been able to collect my thoughts.)Its not a very big collection to begin with.) But here they are. Hi. This is George Bettinger. I am one of the originators and creators of dream stream radio. The vision that Joe Lemire and I had to build a unique station that would entertain, educate, reminisce and celebrate the kind of show business that we love so much. It is being carried on now by the positive artistic forces of TC Keith and Zachary Switzer. We thank them for carrying on what Joe and I envisioned. My message goes out to Robin Williams loved ones and fans. Robin was a superman of comedy. He had all the gifts a comedian can hope for. The look, the sound, the physical attributes, the intelligence and the ability to satirize in a loving way. He took us into his world. It was unquestionably his orbit. We sat mesmerized watching him perform. A flight path he developed to soothe his need, to please and calm the world. He made us laugh. He was a fine actor and a gentle person. It revealed itself in the twinkle of his blue eyes and his warm smile. As with many fine artists. He was a sensitive person. This is a very hard business. It is called show business. It is a show and it is indeed a business. So we are asked to not only share the radiant artistry we encompass but to also take in all the strain that goes into the world of business. We try to make it look easy. But it is not. There are many facets that go into the finished product. Depression is devastating. Unless you have really been there please don’t try to understand it. I hope you never have to be there. Just be kind. At the time that Robin left us I am sure he had no intention of hurting you. He gave us all he could. We have a legacy and a lifetime of film for generations to enjoy. I believe he just could not endure any more of the physical world. Please realize that he probably had no intention of having you feeling the agony that he was going through. His present in life was to cheer you. He loved to make you happy and provided boundless efforts to help charitable organizations. So to his family and fans all over the world. I say remember him as a kind gentle wonderful artist who delighted you, brought a smile and made you think. I believe that would make him happy.
