Upcoming Elections for ABS Board of Directors! The Atlanta Blues Society is excited to announce upcoming elections for its Board of Directors! Nominations are open to all ABS members (active for at least 1 year) who more importantly have the passion, time and dedication to lead and support our mission of the preservation and education of the Blues in Atlanta! Elections will take place on Sunday February 15, 2015 during the Annual Members Meeting at Blind Willies. We look forward to continued ABS growth and in need of those willing to share varying special skills and experiences to take ABS to the next level and beyond during the committed 2-year Board Member term. ABS wants and needs YOU and those with… • True passion for ABS and its mission • Time commitment to twice-monthly in-person meetings including one (1) board meeting and attendance (whenever possible) at each Monthly Membership Gathering and Jam - to accommodate the varied life styles and schedules of the Board, the majority of communication is via frequent emails • Ability and willingness to serve as an officer of the Board and/or committee lead (e.g. Membership, programs, public relations/social media, volunteers coordination, etc.) • A true “Get it done” / Hands-on attitude! ARE YOU READY? OF COURSE YOU ARE!!!
