UQ ICT Excellence Scholarships In view of a growing shortage of ICT graduates, UQ and its industry partners continue to encourage and support school leavers to join programs leading to careers in the Information and Communications (ICT) industry. ICT Excellence Scholarships, valued at $3000 each, are awarded to students based on their Year 12 results. To be eligible, students must apply for a place in one of the following programs: Bachelor of Information Technology Bachelor of Multimedia Design Bachelor of Engineering (Software or Electrical and Computer) Students applying for a dual program that includes one of these programs are also eligible to apply. Scholarships are awarded based on OP scores. Students expecting in the range of OP 1-5 are encouraged to apply. The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), situated in Canberra is a university like no other, offering combined military and leadership training, with a world class degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). It has the best university student-to-teacher ratio in the country, amazing sports and recreational facilities and is one of Australia’s most respected universities. The session will provide further information on the Academy, career paths, military lifestyle as well as the ADFA Education Award. FLTLT Andre Holmes, an ADFA graduate, will be available on the night to give a personal insight in to the Academy and answer questions. We really encourage students in Year 12 who would like to attend ADFA in 2014 to attend this Information Session as applications are closing soon. For students in Year 10 & 11, this is a great opportunity to start preparing for their ADFA Application.
