Upcoming RDA Second Plenary Meeting: register today! Data sharing offers important benefits for scientific progress, but is not yet very easy among scholars. In order to overcome this barrier, the Research Data Alliance (RDA) was set-up in 2012. The aim: accelerating and facilitating research data sharing and exchange across different research groups. Coming up this September is the second RDA Plenary Meeting. Take a look at the Programme and register for the meeting. Participants from all walks of the research/data world are invited to help define global data infrastructure in the fields they most care about! RDA Second Plenary Meeting: Open Research Data ... building global partnerships Dates: 16-18 September 2013 Location: National Academy of Sciences Building, Washington, DC, USA The meeting will provide existing and new and aspiring RDA community members an opportunity to conduct business and make progress on their plans and deliverables. The plenary will be a forum to demonstrate the value of RDA and to receive feedback from the broader research and policy communities. RDA members and plenary participants will get an update on both the governing and technical (Working & Interest Groups) activities since March 2013 (RDA Launch). RDA will leverage on the plenary to continue to define and build relationships with initiatives and organizations that share the same vision and can mutually benefit from engaging with each other (Source: rd-alliance.org/future-events) During the Second Plenary meeting, also a Face to Face meeting of the Agricultural Data Interoperability Group (https://rd-alliance.org/internal-groups/agricultural-data-interoperability-ig.html) will take place. This is a unique possibility to discuss issues in data interoperability in Agriculture. We ask all colleagues working in this area to subscribe to the Interestgroup (https://rd-alliance.org/user/login?destination=group/node/181/subscribe/og_user_node) and to consider participation in the Second Plenary meeting.
