Update - Housebreakings - Redding and Reddingmuirhead area Following our appeal for extra vigilance in the Redding and Reddingmuirhead areas yesterday we would like to thank the public for doing just that. About 4.20pm last night (Thursday 15th January) we received a number of calls about a suspicious vehicle and person in the Canalside Drive area of Redding. As a result of this a 31yr old man from Glasgow was traced in suspicious circumstances and later arrested. He is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff court on Monday. Police Inspector Stewart would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant. He says This is an excellent example of the Police and local community working together in order to target current crimes. The braes area is, and remains, an extremely safe place to live and by taking simple steps you can further reduce the chance of becoming a victim. This includes fitting good quality timer switches, keeping car keys hidden and ensuring doors/windows are locked when not at home. I would like to personally thank those who phoned police yesterday as their information directly contributed to this arrest. If you require information of home security there is a section on our website scotland.police.uk
