*** Update 2 Boat in AXA channel*** Three persons are now confirmed dead after their boat capsized in the Anguilla channel on late Sunday night. Reports reaching this website states that twenty (20) persons were on board the vessel when it encountered problems, capsized and sank. The French Sea Rescue, St. Maarten Sea Rescue and the Dutch Coast Guard responded to the distress call and have managed to pluck twelve (12) persons from the water but not before three lost their lives. The remaining passengers are still missing and the search is continuing. The boat was traveling from Anguilla to St. Maarten when the fatal incident occurred. The name of the boat is not known.
