Update #2 on Derek...They were planning on doing a needle aspiration of the fluid around his liver but now have decided that they are going to do some sort of scan first before they make a decision on how to handle the fluid. He is doing better on the room air as the day goes by but he still has that persistent fever...right now its 101.8. Earlier today the nurse was trying to adjust the ng tube and it got looped in his throat and ended up in his mouth when he coughed, so she took it completely out for the time being (He will be disappointed that he has nothing to pull out today!!!). Will post more when I know more regarding what they are going to do regarding his liver. He had two surprise visitors today....Sherry and Heather from Cooper came to see him and visited with him for a while. Now whether he will remember the visit, I dont know but I will ask him later on if he remembers. We still dont know the results of the CT scan they did yesterday of his liver and abdomen, but hopefully will find something out today
