Update 7/9/14: The car is now in the body shop having the body work completed. We have removed all the stainless, chrome trim, bumpers & began fixing the rust in the floor boards in addition to a small amount of rust we later found in the trunk seams. Current price is now @ $22,500. As the restoration progresses, look for the price to go up accordingly. If interested in having our shop finish the car, you still have time to pick out the color you want it to be. 1958 Chevrolet Impala 2-Dr. Hardtop Sport Coupe factory equipped with 348 Tri-Power V-8. Restoration in progress @ the restoration shop we use to service & restore our antique cars in Nashville, GA. The body & undercarriage are solid with the exception of some minor rust repair needing to be completed on the floor pans. (Please see photo). The car is being sold now in it’s present state of completion or the shop can complete the restoration in a short period of time @ a very reasonable $50 hourly rate. This Impala comes with the correct date coded 348 C.I./ 280 H.P. V-8 engine with the correct tri-power intake manifold, carburetors, & air cleaner. It is equipped with both power steering & brakes. The engine was just completely rebuilt in house. The Power Glide automatic transmission is currently being rebuilt by the transmission shop the restoration shop uses who specializes in rebuilding old Power Glide transmissions. There are many new parts including a new set of rocker moldings, weatherstripping, radio antenna, correct wheel covers, suspension springs, fuel tank, a brand new set of wide white wall radial tires, & boxes of numerous other new parts I can‘t remember that will complete the car. According to the cowl tag on the firewall, this Impala came from the factory in a 2 tone exterior color combination of Silver Blue & Snowcrest White. Interior trim indicates Medium Blue Metalic Imitation Leather with a tri-tone combination of Light Gray, Light & Dark Blue Cloth inserts. Offered for sale now in it’s present stage of completion @ $22,500.
